Cow Sense

A cutting horse is an athlete, bred specifically for his ability to pick a cow out of a herd and keep that cow from returning to the herd. “Cow Sense” is not something that can be taught. It is instinctive, and it is this ability on the part of the horse that breeders try to encourage. As their track-record shows, Tieperman Quarter Horses are full of “cow sense”.

In competitive Cutting events, it’s all about the horse, so breeding is extremely important. Robert and Melanie have enjoyed much success on the ACHA, (American Cutting Horse Association), and NCHA, (National Cutting Horse Association), and have made it to the World Finals at both amateur and non-professional levels on a number of occasions.
